hey guys, so I was kinda looking for something new to learn and perhaps build a game as a hobby project. I am mainly a 3D artist and wanted to be a little bit more independent from coders regarding making small games. Now I like both unity and unreal but I feel like unreal has much more to offer however, I reckon its much…

hello everyone I started using Houdini Engine in my workflow. and now I wonder how much is possible to use Sbsar or Sbs files in Houdini digital assets. (a final layout of my digital assets is in the Unity engine)
Hello polycount forum. As you can see i have a problem with creating modular assets in unity. The middle part has a darker shade then the corner parts. As far as i can tell, it looks like an issue the the normals. The mesh uses smooth shading, has no problems in blender. It has the same problem with unity default material…
In search of a Unity Developer who can push Unity's limits graphically. Gear VR experience is highly desired. @nbac Thanks! I used the same volumetric light and fog system that Unity used for the Adam Demo: https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/VolumetricLighting For the decals, I used a solution on the Unity store called Dynamic Decals. I'm not sure if we are allowed links to products but you can find it easily enough, it's very…
looks like Unity is branching into a complete seperate tech tree here i doubt that this means that the Unity Engine pro subscriptions will include any modules from Weta And certainly they will not transform the Weta core tech over to be based on Unity Engine mabye tight integration for data exchange or so , but i think…
That is correct. This is the "catch" in this particular deal. The free version of Unity Pro is only for targeting Playstation platforms. It does not apply to any other platforms, including PC. So if you are a licensed Playstation developer, you can now build Unity Pro applications for any Playstation platform, free of…
