Hey guys, Im working on this material script. I am having issues figuring out how to make the ability to drag a file from explorer over the button (like you can do with the standard material) Im sure its something simple. However I am missing it some how.
I'm not talking about the straight up boolean functions, as they all cause chunks to get cut out of the geometry or modify the shape of the objects. all I want are edges cut into the geometry wherever the two objects intersect am I missing a tool or is there some script I can use?
Hi guys, As the title say`s, is there a script or a method to be able to select which objects from the FBX file to be imported?Like when you have a .max file and select merge and it gives you the option to select what objects you want to be imported. Thanks
Maya introduced mirrored component selections a couple versions back. Has anyone seen or used anything like this in Max? A script or plug-in perhaps? Maya's implementation of it isn't too shabby, buggy at times, but can be somewhat useful. Ran into a slight use for it recently in Max, worked around it, but was just curious…
Is there a third party script or plugin that gives control over the interpolation of a helix inside 3ds max? Normalize spline modifier doesn't do much to fix it. I'm coming from c4d and the helix there can be adjusted to fit a low poly workflow. Having something in max that's similar would be helpful.
Okay, got the script to work. baked normals to a 24 triangle block and made the tracks, only made one set and there are two of these... [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5LExCiqqbI[/ame] How can I make tank treads which look as close as possible to the highpoly but have them lowpoly?
hey guys , so i have alot of proxies in the scene and most of them are inside groups , i want to "show whole mesh" for all proxies in the scene . i am using vray btw . any idea ? i found this script but it does not have the "show whole mesh"
I am trying to merge two Maya scenes in-place. Where I import scene A into scene B and it will move items from scene A into the correct hierarchy position in scene B. Other than name-space shenanigans, what is the best way to go about this in Python? Or is there a script already that does this?
I wanted to ask if you have a new version of Blender (portable version) and a previous one also portable with all the scripts, keymapping setups and addons. Is there a way to transfer all this to the new one and delete the older version? I am tried of having to set this up everytime. Thanks
