With the new Guild System out in Dota 2, shouldn't there be a Polycount guild? It would be easier to have everyone in the community playing Dota with each other? I guess the real question who's going to start it? I nominate Tvidotto. After its created, everyone can just post their steamids here.
I'm using Max 7.1 on SP2. When trying to render to texture, I get the following error: --Unknown system exception The following line is highlighted in the MAXscript window: mtlInstance = DirectX_9_Shader effectFile:fxFile I've tried repairing the 7.1 installation, but I still get the error. Any ideas what's going on?
Well since im trying to learn this system coming from softimage Im having trouble wrapping my head around: Making the com (bip01_pelvis) change the keyframe type from linear to stepped, i can do it to the rest but it seems i cant get at the right bit in the curve editor if that makes sense?
udk downloads took this version off their site, but I just had a system meltdown and had to clean my hard drive- now I can't re-install the august version but I am in the middle of a project! How can I get the august version? :poly122:

I'm making a modular road system and it's going great, minus my crevice normals not lining up. I can get them close by trial and error, but there has to be a better way to precisely place these so they line up. Any tips would be great. Thanks!
Something we found today.. Maybe people already knows but since everyone always complaining about the quad/tri system of Maya, that may help. https://www.creativecrash.com/maya/marketplace/scripts-plugins/modeling/poly-tools/c/max-style-turn-edge-for-maya
I'm modelling nervous systems and near organs there's a lot of branching. The main fibers can be relatively easily done with spline modelling, but in the interconnecting areas it would be nice with less fidgeting in doing branchy structures. I'm aware of the 'branchy' script, but I'm looking for a more painted approach,…
Hey XSI heads. Just found this linked from XSIBase... http://www.highend3d.com/xsi/downloads/plugins/texturing/3805.html XSI has great UV tools but it's been missing some sort of auto unwrap or pelting system till now. This is a first gen plugin but it looks very promising already!
