Hi everyone, don't think I've posted here in over a year. I decided to get back in to modeling fulltime and this is the first thing I've done that I feel good about. Figured I would post it so you guys could tear it apart.
Pretty cool piece of tech coming for the Kinect. Possible uses? Love it? Hate it? I'm not tech-saavy enough to understand how this is working, but it looks impressive. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/kinect-fusion-creates-3d-models-on-the-fly-coming-to-windows-sd/
Kirarito Inc. is looking for a character artist capable of creating a videogame based 3D character model and textures. The style and polygon number would be similar to The Witcher 3 characters. More details will be discussed after receiving the artist portfolio. Please, contact us at julio.velasco@kirarito.co.jp
Hey guys, decided to model myself, no easier reference then yourself. Here is what I got so far, don't quite know if its starting to look like me, but hopefully you guys can tell me if I need to push more details or not.
(High Poly) (low poly + bake) It currently sits at 3729 tris with a 2k texture. I'm workin on my hard surface skills. I'd like to make this into a game-ready model. I'm using Xoliul Shader for 3DS MAX 2012 as my realtime renderer.
whats the impact on final asset for in-game? All textures I've made so far has been a single sheet. I'm guess multiple textures utilizes the UV channels for different parts of model. Are all game engines able to accept this or is it engine dependent? thanks!
