hi there. about the uv map problem.. I'm not sure how it works in maya but if you merge the lowpoly together you can unwrap it onto one map. Maybe you can select all objects and unwrap then. In max this would work. The most basic info is: you have your uv / texture space and the unwrap of every single object may not be…
Hi smart people, I've recently been modifying my pipeline but my first mesh using it has these weird artefacts where it seems like every face is showing on the textures - I am using Zbrush for sculpt work - Zremeshing and taking this mesh into Blender to UV - bringing the UVd mesh back into Zbrush for subdividing and…
Hey guys...I found these in the corner of my hard drive and I figured they would be a good start to my sketchbook/ journal. These were all done during my time at Art Institute of California Inland Empire. With about a year left, looking back to when I first started I never would have thought I could do what I do now.…
If it's just a crash at exporting issue, can you split the mesh into a couple parts then export it as multiple objs? As for polypaint exporting in obj, it does, but iirc objs don't support it officially, so some apps might not read the vert color ZB data from objs. Don't think max's obj importer reads it for example. Worst…
Yeah, they remain black, but its more like a graphical error I think. They keeps changing while I rotate. I cant paint over them if you get me. I rendered aswell but the spots are still there. This is a new bug btw (it was working the other day), they were not there last time I was polypainting. Now something is wrong…
i did a nicer render as that last one was pretty nasty, still learning to use polypaint for presentation, still don't even know if i should bother crudely polypainting skin tone at all, or whether i should just rely on flat mat cap renders. might just do both if i use this on my website or what have you... gunna reduce the…
Yes, I am familiar with xnormal and the ability to import highest Sub D level objs into the program. The main obstacle I have is the overlaying subtools like the hand bandages, and the leotard/singlet. Here is a test bake I did with a color bake to show you the trouble I am having. As you can see the bake projection will…
hey this is pretty good so far I like the finer detail especialy the veins under the eyelids. the eyelids themselves would not winkle like that I would try looking at some reference of older people and how wrinkles look on eyes The thin lines on the chest are too hard edged try softening them a little bit The detail on the…
Hey guys! Just wanted to make a thread for this beast. I need some feedback :D I think the highpoly of this guy is pretty much done. Gonna start polypainting soon, havent tried this before, I mean transfer the polypainting to the lowpoly (which will be done pretty soon). Anyone got any neat tutorial or can tell me how to…
http://www.nickfarley.co.uk/seam_issue.jpg Hi, I'm making a large rainforest type tree but am having issues with dark seams in the normal map when I import it to UDK. My creation process is - - Low poly in max where I uv map it. - Import to Z brush where I sculpt and polypaint it. Export the polypaint to a texture using…
