I'm working on a Blender model using Bevel+Subdiv pipeline and I stuck on a problematic element. I want to make a "ridge" that smoothly flows into basic shape but has sharp edges along. However I can't find a topologic solution to perform that without artifacts (which is critical on Bevel+Subdiv pipeline). I really need…
Hey everyone, just trying to figure out how to get this bevel effect I want in 3ds max. Here is what im going for: (Done inside Photoshop) I have tried all I know in 3ds Max, but their bevel options wont give me that effect. None of the tutorials i have watched have covered that effect either. The problem seems to be that…
Ok, I guess the issue is the "beveled edges" Let me bevel the edges again. This time, I will crate bevel as real as possible based on replicas. I will not consider # of polygons for now.
Bevel Modifier is the closes to the max workflow, but it does not handle it as good as max bevel in some cases, and you have to think about where you will use your ''bevels weights'', loops.
after you Bevel, in the channels box there is a "Smoothing Angle", default is 30 degrees, you can turn this up to smooth the normals of the bevel if you have only a couple bevel segments.
