I'm a complete noob and very new at this so please bear with me. So I am using 2014 3ds max to create a shotgun model for Fallout: New Vegas. In this verion of max they took out the lock pan/zoom function so I am using a workaround. I am using plane plus to use a plane as my background image. The problem is when I use this…
I had a good three weeks working on this character. I had fun experimenting with the hair cards as well as texturing them. I hope you like it, C&C are welcome. Cheers! model
Hello, I am currently working on a model and I wish to have your opinion and your comment. If you see something eventually improve, thank you in advance. sorry for my bad English.
Hey Sam, Im sure you have heard it before but great work! I have never seen work of this quality from someone your age. In general i think your models and textures are very good. i think the texture on the tank is very nice but you could improve it by losing some of the noise on some of the surfaces so that when you do see…
These are both great looking stylistically, but you have some inefficiencies such as too many edge loops and the second character has 1 too much texture sheet. Only model out and keep edge loops that benefit and define the silhouette. Try removing some edge loops and if they do not affect the overall silhouette of it, then…
I have an existing character model partially rigged with weight painting, but missing some outfit elements that I concept designed, along with a bit of personality. I'm looking to have the model fully rigged for full body tracking in Unity. It must support ARKit and I'm willing to provide FaceIt for easy BlendShape…
I understand quad remeshing but it is unsuited for intermediate modeling purposes. But there should be a reason for the topology mismatch between Blender and Max. An OBJ or FBX file should work about the same in most applications unless there is an actual error in the geometry.
@mantaskava Is this a wall sink? Some trades have very specific names for curves (so it can vary depending on who you're talking to) but the concave area where the wall and the sink meet is generally called a fillet. The convex areas on each side in the front of the sink are generally called rounded (radiused) corners or…
Hello everybody ! I'm starting using substance painter and really struggling to paint through the model (example : through a character's body to have nice grades on the color of arms/legs/face) It's a simple question, sorry for that but I'm really having a hard time with that 😅 Does someone can explain me how to do that ?…
