I'm trying to bake AO maps with mental ray but uv shells after test (final gather production quality) render have different brightness. Is that normal ?
I just want to get some feedback on the way I organize my uv shells for a model I am currently working on and if there is anything else I can do to improve it.
If memory serves it uses a position map and the UV direction maps to transform the sample points on the source map. not too complicated in principle but I'd expect it to struggle a bit with small UV shells
