I've posted here
before. Decided I wasn't really ready to procure at that point. BUT THE TIME IS NOW.
Do you think you can produce better artwork than
this?**
Are you looking for some freelance work on an indie game? Do you want to work on something that's actually going to be
published, and has a decent chance of selling better than your average
indie game? Are you able to handle the embarrassment of having your
worst work on public display?
You may find that
The Ditty of Carmeana is the project for you.
I'm looking for artists who get the game, get the humor, and get why
the artwork has to look Q&D (though still better than what I did). I will be more likely to contract with artists who obviously get the game.

But what is this game, you ask? Well, to be brief, it's an action-adventure parody mostly of the Legend of Zelda, and one of its endearing features is that it looks very cheap. Here are the obligatory Web, Twitter, and Facebook links for the game.

medieval townfolk and nobility, of
varying ages and races. They should have realistic proportions and not look like cartoons. Take a look at these screenshots and behold the level of quality we're talking about.

If you're interested, here's what you need to send me.
1. A link to your web portfolio
2. A quote, preferrably in US Dollars
The quote should be
per character. (I'm not willing to pay hourly, so please factor your time into the character price.) Here is what you should consider when offering your quote.
I am looking for a
mesh + colormap only. No rigging, no bump maps
or normal maps needed, definitely no animations. I need only minimal facial structure, mouth and eyes do not need to move, and
individual fingers not necessary. Please estimate the hours you need to produce a character of the quality you see in the
screenshots, and base your quote on the assumption that I will ask for relatively minor edits after you are done (though I just as likely won't ask). I am not going to be picky over details. I am more interested in the variety artists might bring.
If you have a bulk rate for characters, I'd like to hear it. Also, if you're willing to consider a discount for non-exclusive rights (so that you can turn around and sell the character on TurboSquid or whatever) then I'd be willing to hear that as well.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. You can message me here on Polycount or through email at ~~~~~~~~~.
