@ Orgoth02 Wow, this thread does make me look dumb. haha. I appreciate the help tho. I am completely aware that is the unreal engine and I've actually been using UDK longer than I have Max. I'm planning on importing the tiles in UDK for an environment I'm working on. @Eric Alright I'll try that. I did notice in Jordans…
[ QUOTE ] Did Jorel just say that he sent him to earth to set a good example for all the humans? So... he didn't send him to earch cause his planet was gonna blow up and he'd get super strong on earth??? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah that's what I was getting at. I do believe that we will still see Krypton exploding id rather see Supes…
1. What you're seeing is pixel padding, it is essential to keep your texture from looking like crap when it mips down. 2. You should have MORE of it, not less. "Padding" in RTT options, turn it up to like 32 or something. What padding does is stretches the similar pixels out past the bounds of the uvs, so you shouldn't be…
Hi, I'm trying to retrieve an angle of a knee bone. So its either 180 degress or less This has been discussed before in the following threads: Here and Here Unfortunately, all those matrix jargon is just way over my head. Luckily, ThE_JacO (Cult of Rig) provided a demonstration of it in a screenshot. But I can't quite put…
Hi there, Short version is that you've got incredible 2D work that's far in excess of the vast majority of 1st release 2D games (for example the tree shadowing on the modern setting video you posted is a simple but uniquely applied technique that I've not seen to date), but it's not properly integrated into a game space.…

It is possible, I've done it, but its a testy system to work with from scratch and doesn't get any easier when you put it in place later. I would do it in chunks in different .max files and assemble the final chunks of baked out, key per…

Thank you :D It's honestly thanks to all the wonderful critique and advice I've gotten from this thread (as well as a little bit of self-education) I think I can call this project officially done though! I adjusted the lighting and redid the fence to look a bit more natural and inline with all the other palm trees. I…
Oh man. Good topic. Note: I used to work at Bioware. I haven't been there in over 2 years. I do NOT speak for the company in any way. These are just my personal thoughts and assumptions based on my time there. So, I've seen a ton of clips from ME:A showing the bad animation, and I can honestly say that very little of it…
Hi there EQ, thank you for taking the time to post here. Here are a few more thoughts : - First of all, I think that even in its current state Toolbag2 is already extremely Dota2-friendly. The only setup it requires from the artist is to export a model as OBJ, convert the individual channels of the Dota2 formatted TGAs…
