Hmm, I recognise those illustrations... can't remember what book from though. Might have been a similar series, it was published by Usborne and the illustrations must have been by the same guy because the way he does dragons is identical. I'm pretty sure it was a collection of stories encompassing Paul Bunyan, the Lambton…
Better idea, much cheaper and easier: Split your mask texture into solid areas of red, green and blue. Import it as a tiny image with no filtering, UI compression (should require 4x4, tops) Multiply your three areas with the three channel intensities. I know that unreal 2004 is just a tad bit outdated, but my school demands i build a level using the ut2004 editor. I'm having problems just making a terrain that won't disappear when i run the game and i fall to my death. I added the zoneinfo actor, went through terrain edit properties and I'm just a tad bit confused ...…

20 years in another program is a lot of muscle memory to fight against. Agreed with thomasp, if I may add, those performance issues come especially while being in edit mode.(actively editing vertices, edges, polys) Sculpt mode and object mode can handle heaps more data. Another pain point compared to other programs is the…

I am some what new to Maya and I am trying to teach myself now animation and modeling. Due to the fact that it is rather complicated to animate an unfinished model (and I would prefer not to use primitive "box" modeling) I thought it would be fun to use the TF2 character models for animation. I found a tutorial on Youtube…
Original concept: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/battle-chasers-nightwar-creature-design-contest (Concept : Kyllian GUILLART) I saw great potential in his concept and decided to "concept-edit-tag" it, I messaged him via youtube and I (hope he's okay) since the attacks and all. The attacks had nothing to do with my…
Hey guys! So I'm trying my hand at some low-poly modelling and hand-painted texturing. My question is about whether I can unwrap the model before I exaggerate some of the shapes or not. As in, if I model a wooden post, can I do the UVs before I start pushing/pulling verts to give it that low poly stylised look? I'm just…
