Hi guys! I was wondering if I could get someone to tell me what I should add / delete from my portfolio!https://www.artstation.com/nikitasineiko I aim to get a proper job in the 3D industry - the goal is 3D Environments, but I believe I should display proof that I can do 3D Props & Tech Art to state I have the skills to do…
The upper part of the scar looks pretty good so far. I think it kind of falls apart where it gets wider and the edges get lighter and less well-defined. I guess it also depends a lot on what the purpose of the scar is, in story-telling terms. What is it meant to convey about the character's backstory? Are they a duelist…
Hi guys! I'm working on 3DS Max, with Standard renderer due the engine limitations we use at work. Is it possible to animate a texture like this in 3DS Max? Thanks a lot!
Hey, i am back with another maxscript issue im facing. in Maxscript for sw 3D Studio Max 2016 I am currently trying to build a series of functions to among other things get loop/ring edge "spans" between edge selections or specific edges. The first step in such a function is reliably getting the next edge in the loop/ring…
Which method do you think is the best for modeling a hard surface/organic mesh that then needs to be detailed in Zbrush? Creasing looks interesting, but does this method provide good enough bevels for baking? And if a mesh doesn't need to be further detailed, are control loops the best then?
Hello, based on another post I made about the topic it was suggested to post about some rocks I created for the latest game I worked on. The game follows a semi stylised art direction which took a lot of trial and error to reach the result we have today. Here is a quick breakdown of the process I put in place. 1. Sculpting…
hey guys. I know there’s some plugins that do this, basically I’m looking for a way to get nice rounded/beveled edges without using a bunch of edge loops and sub-dividing. Sometimes the model is a bit complex and putting all those edge loops around just to get smooth edges is a major time consumer. I use Maya if that’s any…
I sort of did what I initially wanted by modifying their blur example but still don't understand a thing really . Why I have to set the "result" and "u" parameter in two different places and why this loop node output only flat number and I have to use another sequence to see actual result in the end ? Besides looks like…
