Okay, so there is still plenty of work to do on this sculpt but I'm giving an update simply as an excuse to share this brief article I wrote on my methods here when doing these sculpts. I am posting this briefing on my methods below as I'm sure many of you don't want to read it, (its pretty long). Here is the latest still…
Yes, the sculpts anatomy could use some more work. Aside from using references while sculpting, you could make anatomy studies on the side (sketches), try to break down the body into primitive shapes and observe their proportions and relation to each other. Maybe check out a few anatomy for artists books/resources (Bammes…
Trying to get into sculpting shit some more. Seen some sculpts with the eyelids closed, and a lot with the lids open. Is there any particular reason for doing them open/closed, or does it just boil down to personal preference? What are the pros and cons?
Spent a few hours last night doing the sculpt. Sort of a sculpt/ work in progress character bust Critiques welcome, I know the anatomy is roughly right but not quite sure around the bent arm. Hands are a disaster atm, will be reworking them

Having been inspired by Labros Panousis's art for a while and I wanted to begin 2022 by sculpting peter fishmouther as a personal study. I absolutely love the design and wanted to capture the sense of weight, volume, and overall personality with this work. I am planning to take this model all the way to a finished game res…
