No to me it's much better now I see much potential in the reduced glow effects. Now you can do great work on the metal materials. Those shiny effects will be taken away if you overdo it. The reason it feels naked to you might be that at the ring where you reduced the glow there just black holes right now. You can get some…
i'm having an issue in udk where i have a simple plane i brought out of maya with textures on it but when lit in the side where the normals arent facing and textures arent visible, it'll tend to light both sides. so i went into the material editor to make sure i had it set to a two sided material but it made no difference.…
I have a World Machine terrain and Speed Tree trees and cannot get decent lighting on the trees. They are either flat or gross looking. The trees cast no baked shadow when added through the unity terrain system. Trees placed as prefabs have a lot of black artifacts when baked. I've tried both PLM and Enlighten to bake and…
The beta shows good potential. I think pior meant to let the user import an identical mesh to copy its UV layouts and replace the already loaded UV layout inside UV-Remap. Right now users have to import everything back into a texturing software to rebuild dilation/padding.* If an option for dilation/padding (extending the…
Day 13 Had just a little of free time to make some tweaks here and there. Completely redone the facture of coated metal - I like it a bit more but later I will make much more complex material for it Yeah, you're totally right. The glossy version makes more contrast

The foreground valve is especially huge by looking at which the ceiling height feels like an average human would touch it with the head. -Lighting. In a dark…
Over the past week, I've been trying to follow many lighting & rendering tutorials to increase the quality of my shots. Of course though, there is always a problem either the persons version of UE4 is different and has different settings available or in a different location than my version. Or I swear sometimes these…
Hi all, I've been trying to load a texture into the Projector setting under Light entities... with no luck, no matter what texture I set, it just doesn't change it, it's always the same light focus... Like this: Thanks in advance
Hey folks, I've got a couple of light entity problems going on with 3.3.9. Firstly, all my models get this nasty shading on them: Secondly, the light entities seem to give off this really odd cracked... thing:
You need to go into the attribute editor for the light. There are options for enabling and disabling the lights shadow there. Also when rendering in MR you'll need to go to the render options and disable default lighting to enable your newly created lights.
