I like what i see already even if its the last day :) hope to see you submit something,i think the 2nd is my fave it has a good structure to it and some interesting shapes as well. Along with some exotic plants and statues for some reason it reminds me of stargate of fifth element
Create a 2nd UV channel in Max and bake out your AO map. In UDK create a Tex Coord node and set the UV channel to 1 (as opposed to the default of '0' I think.) Plug the Tex Coord into your AO map param node. Multiply your AO Param by the final diffuse input.
Thanks CB. I think the shader might be written this way: 1. multiply the 1st bitmap by the inverse of the painted image. 2. multiply the 2nd bitmap by the painted image. 3. finally, add the two results. So you get a simple lerp. Who wouldn't fail a class or two for a little extra dough?!
Getting marking menu motions memorized as 2nd nature was an unanticipated benefit from Maya. Selecting rings, loops and deleting/splitting with the a few quick, short mouse motions is great. Kinda like being a wizard. Of polys. Or something. (anyone know what I'm talking about or do I just sound crazy?)
Thanks Pangarang, I have mixed feeling about the 2nd building. anyways here is my progress on the third texture map I tried to make it dirty hopefully its not too dirty. Its pretty close to get done, and then I will go to the upper storey's texture to match those with this one with some dirt.
