I have a solution to this problem. Lets just stop having kids and then do whatever the hell we want to do, and then when all the humans are dead we can let whatever life is left pick up the pieces. No kids = no reason to care what happens in the future. Problem solved. And seriously how would you care? Your going to be…
Personally I still check out the forum from time to time, I owe it (you all) and its wiki a lot. It's sad to see it right now though, I think it represents the decaying state of the industry. I hope we get to see better days again, this place makes me appreciate having a sense of community around 3D art. Seeing this thread…

A few game genres are well past their heyday. And I for one would love to see their return, I was wondering what games you guys know of are on the horizon for these genres, or games you recommend from them, new or old. When using the F, T, L hotkeys to switch between views, how does it determine where the view starts and is there a way for me to set where it starts since I use those hotkeys a ton and don't like when it starts super zoomed in or far out. THANKS!
The fork is probably done with Deform Fit, or whatever its called. Lets you specify 3 shapes for left/front/top, then it figures out the intersection. Kinda works, but you get a fugly mesh. Sweep is the way to go. Good for branching caves and the like. Automatic UVs. Intersection mesh can be ugly, but easy to optimize.
