Hi Everyone!I've been steadily working on a WoW style hand-painted environment centered around a small Murloc settlement where the home is a collection of shipwrecked items that washed up on shore. I've been focusing on the props first, once those are done I'll be creating a polished concept of the landscape for the…
I'll start saying that I'm using Unity 5. I started working on this level a couple of days ago. This is what I've done so far: (There's no point in showing you the other floors, they're almost the same) I would like to hear your opinions about how can I improve this environment: props, lighting, materials etc. I want this…
Hey guys, In the past two days I started a new scene, another scifi slum to see how far I can go with the use of modular textures and a few high poly props here and there. Anyway going for a cyberpunk feel with one solid hero prop and a really good alleyway. Otherwise I have 8 days left to finish it so comments and…
**EDIT** Since my host isn't super-fast, and there are a lot of images, I removed 1/2 the them from this post. Please go to my site to check out the rest. Thanks. www.ivassago.net Oooh, my second game! :P If you check out Adam's post, you can find all of the props he was gracious enough to texture for me. Aside from those,…
Hey all! I thought I'd post what I'm currently working on, seeing as I could use a hand with UDK. Mainly getting reflections for the windows to work and how to get better shadows when baking lights. This is the concept I started working from:…
This is a new demo reel I have been working on for close to a year in my off time. It's set in England around the Danish invasion, with this group being an extreme end of of viking culture. "The Pup of Fenrir" is this cult's name and the idea is they are war/ end world minded. I only have the low poly/ props done with the…
10 is nothing for a building, because of its scale. 10 drawcalls for a measly prop is probably a concern. As long as you're being resourceful in the sense that those materials are able to be referenced and used elsewhere, you're doing it right. The method you're using sure beats anything else afaik, especially if things…
Hey all! The past couple of weeks have been quite busy! I've got most of the ceiling done, the center floor area at a place where I'm happy with, I started on some props and made some slight tweaks to the lighting! I've still got the 'unit' bit where the pipes (which a couple were made using Marvelous Designer!) feed into…
Thanks for the feedback! I do realise there is a mix up of whats on there. I guess the problem is my last few jobs I was doing multiple roles and some the jobs around here are asking for roles that do a bit of everything. Props and film/games would be the main thing i'm interested in and digital painting is just a hobby -…
Sculpting cloth can be very difficult and seems futile unless you really understand anatomy before it. It would be a disjointed addition to your portfolio. I really think you should get stuck in with props. You find guns boring, some can be, but try and get excited by more interesting weapons. Or even something bigger like…
