I've been steadily working on a WoW style hand-painted environment centered around a small Murloc settlement where the home is a collection of shipwrecked items that washed up on shore. I've been focusing on the props first, once those are done I'll be creating a polished concept of the landscape for the island. I've been taking some process screenshots after the "completion" of each prop (I will more then likely go back and polish them further).
If you have any comments or critiques I would greatly appreciate them!
Thank you for the kind comments! To answer your question Putka, yes I have been painting for a couple years now, I started out interested in becoming a concept artist at first, and fell in love with 3D. Here are a few more updates on the props, I recently finished up the Murloc Flippers, Mast and candle.
Aw yeah, definitely subbed. Love the concept and so far your execution is great - are you painting the textures in photoshop or a program like 3D coat?
JUNKIEKONG I usually start out in 3D coat, and take it to photoshop for extra polish near the end. WADEWT I agree! I think I was being too conservative with my tri count. I'll add some edge loops in to make him feel more rounded. SOULSTICE Thank you very much! Here is another Little update, trying to visualize everything together. Looking forward to bringing everything to completion
That looks very well done! I feel like the anchor and the hook look a little too bright though, are they made from the same material as the shovel on the top? Because the shovel looks just right. On the concept they are pretty close in tone/color as well.

I love how the shack looks like a murloc but not overwhelmingly so in a forced way
Everyfin is perfect. Cute inflatable naga
I guess you were a skilled painter before going into 3D?
