Ged: No problem, and thank you! Eric Chadwick: Thanks - I think I'm going to keep it free for now. it;'s not nearly complex enough to warrant people paying for it. Its as imple utility script, and it's not even that awesome. And I bet a chunky mask would improve it - it wouldn't be much work to add one, either. The…
I think I'm gonna take Almighty_Gir's advice and take the time to study skulls, the muscle structure, and everything that makes up a face. I've started a thread on this, so if you'd be so kind as to pop in there sometime this week that'd be much appreciated. I can only hope that I can learn and improve anywhere near as…
"But I'm a guy with a family to support." It's for those reasons you should actually fight the mismanagement. - Why have a mortgage if you're not going to have a home? - Why have a family if you're never going to be there? "I'm not going to say anything, I'm just going to find a new job and leave." Personally I'd say…
You don't need to shrink the model just the texture. It might help to zoom out, but don't scale the model. Mip Maps are small samples of your texture compressed so the engine doesn't have to use the full texture if not that close to the object. If you're 100ft from the model it uses a 32x32 as you get closer it ratchets up…

This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a while. Color correction seems often ignored by video game artists for one reason or another. It seems a large barrier to entry is simply not wanting to buy a color correction device. This is where I come in. I have a Datacolor Spyder 4 Elite and am willing to loan it…
Working off a base mesh, I personally wouldn't dynamesh unless I was doing a full body, working off a sphere or REALLY lacking quads in an area that needs high detail. I find dynamesh is kind of a destructive workflow; good for blocking out if you don't model a basemesh, and handy if you have areas with stretched quads,…
hydration, heat and lighting seem like the culprits here. as above drink more water and take regular breaks (also look at if you are lacking sleep and make sure to take breaks at home as well), even go outside a few times a day/walk around the block. light can also have a significant impact (for example right now its dark…
Armour looks sick and the bakes came out looking good, i like it... but.. I feel like you've rushed to finish it man, and it's hurt the quality. I'm gonna rip into you here not because i want to be mean but because i feel like this could be a way stronger piece. Firstly, there's no story to that metal at all. There's no…
