So basically I am looking for a tool with some easy to use box modeling, which I'd then use mostly for paintovers in PS or some light sculpting. I've had some experience with 3dsmax and maya in the past, but those tools are far too expensive (and too much!) for what I plan to use them for. Suggestions?

I was modeling and I think I hit a hot key or something... The issue: in 3dsMax 2011, I am in edge mode, but will only allow me to select edges at the vert, and then it selects all the edges attached to the vert. I was working with the alt-r and alt-l for loops and rings. I hit a bad key and now... this. Any ideas?
Is anybody know how to setup 3dsmax objects default material and colors settings?? well for Objects Color we can do it by disable assign random color on command panel. But how about the materials? ie Difuse color, specular, and bump amount? especially bump amount, i don't get it why it's always on 30 :/

Hello everyone, I have a low poly mesh that's been smoothed out in 3dsmax. I have no normals on that area now, but it looked the same way with the baked normal on. This is how it looks in Unreal: How would I approach this? Do I add polys or rebake the normal map? Or something else? I apologize for the noob question. Cheers,
