Here's a head I modeled in Zbrush and I'm working on the skin textures now. Here's a render from 3dsMax. I'm using the SSS_fast_skin shader for this. I'm still working on it, I need to subdermal layer to show more without affecting the top layers. But anyways, here's what I have now... Any tips on making it better is…
Hi guys, been working on this for a couple of days and I am seeking feedback on where to go with it. Grime needs to be added and the vents at the bottom need fixing. I'm using a 1024x1024 map, and its being rendered in 3dsmax with a shadow map. The spec is an overall: 85 spec, 35 gloss. Any advice would be appreciated. The…

So here goes my first post. I finished today hi-poly and low poly mesh. My goal was making it as detailed as possible since it's quite simple model. Low poly is 2312 tris right now, second LOD is going to be around 250 tris. I think I'll to be UVing and baking next day. Any advices before baking in 3dsmax?
Hi in 3dsmax , I need to attach two object that are rigged to different bones of the skeleton , how can I do to preserve the skin modifier ? when I attach one or the other body part the attached one looses it's skin for the vertices , getting all the vertices set to 1 instead than the several fractions that made the…
I'm learning the basics of 3dsmax poly modeling. I want to apply the soft selection falloff only for x , so if i selected a vert in the middle of sg, the falloff would only apply to the vertices on the left and teh right. Hope you can understend what i mean... I'm not sure if its possible.
You can also try changing the Key Tangents to Step or Linear, then add a new key immediately after the roll, to reset the rotation to zero. If there are no frames between the rotations (and no motion blur!) then there won't be a hitch in the motion.…
I tried all sort of combination arrays to change but I cant find whats the offending vertex , all seem fine, also the uv naming in substance seems different from the one in Max so I can't get to what UV tile correspond the one said by Substance to the one in 3dsmax .
Personally I found Marmoset 3 the best one so far. I used xNormal (Free), 3dsMax Substance and Knald. If you are on a tight budget but can afford substance, it might be the best bang for your buck, since you get the texturing suit as well as their baker which is pretty good aswell.
