Hi folks, started this sculpt during the last days! It was more a project to test out the timelapse function at zBrush but was a lot of fun! I ruined the video :D but its quite fun to see u self sculpting! https://vimeo.com/81828667
Well its all modeling, even if you sculpt. If its a scify character there will probably be more hard surface, so you would use what ever is quick or convenience for you. If its a medieval character it would be quicker for me to sculpt it. But what about low poly hand painted characters? You could sculpt or model them. The…
Haven't done a humanoid sculpt in a while, so I though I'd get in some practice with a quick head sculpt. Decided to have a bit of fun, too, and try to do a stylized head a-la Clone Wars. Critiques very much welcome!
Have not really worked with a lot of hard surface sculpts but it should be the same thing. I decimate my sculpts all the time before I export them to max. I used to get an artifact when baking my normal map from too decimated mesh but I figured out how to prevent it from doing it (some of the polygons were just coming in…
Hey guys I have been practicing some head sculpts lately and for the most part I like how they turn out that is before i start sculpting females :) I just dont understand what am I doing wrong and with tons of reference I still cant tell what is wrong and how do I fix it? Here is the problem one and after that I will post…
Hi, I'm quite new to ZBrush and have run into a problem. I'm currently sculpting a characters head which I made in 3DS Max and have now imported into ZBrush. The head, eyes and hair are all separate objects, but I have imported them in together for the sculpt. I seem to be facing the problem that when I try to sculpt onto…
Hey guys One of the things i struggle most with while sculpting is proportion. I get way too keen, get tunnel vision for the particular area i'm working and lose track of the overall model. This doesn't impact the final product too much, but its the sculpting equivalent of the scenic route and my workflow is slow as a…
Hey everyone, I decided to challenge myself with a zbrush sculpt each day as a resolution for 2015. I plan on posting each week instead of daily to minimize the amount of spam on the forum! So here's my first batch of the year: Sculpted in Zbrush and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag2! Thanks for looking! Mike
Hey there, I'm practicing a lot of sculpting lately and i need some feedback. So feel free to post your opinion on the sculpt and hopefully what i could change or improve. :)
I'm trying to transfer sculpting detail between two models that share the same base mesh by extracting a vector displacement map from Model #1 and then using "Sculpt Using Map" to displace Model #2 to match Model #1. The problem I'm encountering is that the displacement of Model #2 is less than that of Model #1. I played…
