Hey guys, Just a quick question, is there a quick way to get UV islands from the Smoothing Groups I've already created in 3DS Max 2013? TexTools appears to have this function, but does not work with 3DS Max 2013. Cheers!
Unfortunately, light bakes are no longer available in Toolbag 4. This functionality was lost when the baker was refactored to work with the newer ray tracing backend. This is something we may be able to add back in the future, but further R&D is needed.
Hi, I have a function that rotates my meshes. How can I make it stop after 120 degrees of rotation and than after a few seconds rotate 120 more degrees? I am making a triple bilboard and on the back of these triangles there are 2 more adverts.
At the moment I'm using alt + rmb and was just wondering if there's an option to have maya scroll smoothly using the scroll wheel? I just find it more convenient for my needs if I could have that functionality. Thank You.
Does anyone know of a program or a way with photoshop to manipulate images using math like you would in a pixel shader? I'm looking to manipulate big images with functions like POW and FRAC but I dont know how to do it without using a .cg shader in realtime.
Anyone got a tool or workflow for taking a bunch of uv shells and moving them all to the 0-1 uv space but have them over lap on top of each other. This would be the same functionality as using automatic map with overlap turned on.

I call it a WIP still because i am texturing the backside of the shield as well with functional leather straps to hold onto to your harm. 512 tris including the skull, Normal/Diffuse/Spec map. sorry for the larger images, not sure if there is a way to add thumbnails.
hey folks, i wanna start a discussion if learning Zmodeler in zbrush is worth it when I can do the same functions of precision modeling in maya and 3dcoat. I wanna know the community's experience with zmodeler and how can it be useful or not in a production setting.
