Anyone got a tool or workflow for taking a bunch of uv shells and moving them all to the 0-1 uv space but have them over lap on top of each other. This would be the same functionality as using automatic map with overlap turned on.
Objects that are going to be overlapped and have the sae shell I just project at the same time so they overlap from the start. I also use transfer attributes alot for that kindof thing, ill check that script out to see how that works.

Does the script you found work with automaticly stacking identicals shell on top of each other ? That would save me a loooooot of time ;-)
Too bad retain component spacing snapping is broken in maya 8.5
