Marmoset FBX Import change how texture looks? OBJ is fine
I can´t figure out why but everytime i import an FBX with animation from maya to Marmoset the geometry acts really weird and my texture doesn't look good. Heres an example, FBX left and OBJ right , as you can see even without applying the texture you can already see that it is not correct even tho is the same geometry. -
Anyone have any good tips on making gun metal texture
I'm currently working on a gun model of a M&P45 and just can't get the texture to look like metal. I've seen tuts on painting it by hand and sourcing it from photos but some of the tuts are really not that great. I'm seeing a lack in the need for a normal map. You can probably exaggerate what little detail it has to give more meaning to your normals. Your uv islands could be stacked to save texture space and it could even be on a 1:2 or 2:1 texture from the looks of it. Try and keep your rectangular elements parallel to each other… -
