How is this not just CG/video compositing? I'm not getting the point here. Mapping out the real world shots and camera angles for creating of CG elements is pretty much standard fare for any composited effects shot.
I'm box mapping a building, but when i do it breaks all the uvw verts. Is there a way i can keep all the verts that are connected to each other wielded together, so i just have a bunch of large island elements?
what do you think about the overall look of this texture? I like to practice making these kinds of shaders because there are different kinds of elements in it, like the metal, the paint and the rust, there can also be different variations of the look as well.

And to add to that, just export an .fbx with 3 separate meshes with unique names for the sole purpose of baking but keep your original mesh(all 3 elements still one mesh) and use this to apply your textures.

That's great trick! We could make it look like its really actually built from modules. Put a trim there, yeah! Actually bridges and almost all such elements are modular, so its matter or research.
