Hi, I don't know where to post this so I'll just post this here. I'm just a regular user of the student version of 3DS Max, learned through the internet and I want to sell my models on Turbosquid and other websites. However I'm only using a student version and I've heard that I can only "share" them for free and cannot…
Hello everyone, let me start off by saying, I wish I saw this contest a lot earlier! Namely because I literally just finished a very similar project maybe a week or so ago. I learned a lot from it, especially on the recall animation, so hopefully I can apply what i learned to my official entry! If you want to check out…
Hey! Welcome to The Polygon Vault ! This is my little space to explore retro-style 3D modeling — low poly trees, chunky textures, and that good old-school vibe from the PS1 era. I build everything from scratch in Blender, then bring it to life in Unreal Engine with a bit of that pixel-flavored aesthetic. If you're into…
@DimosM yes I need this kind of feedback! Ive been working hard to nail the anatomy but its almost impossible to tell whats going on in the comic book reference so I used some real reference and some comic reference and tried to make the 2 work together, obviously its not quite there yet as you guys are spotting issues.…
Thanks for the tip, trying that right now. As for the Maxscript...I feel so lost, I still cant get it to work and it seems I have to restart max everytime I want to see it run with the new changes, it takes ages to try it out. I'm not a technical artist and just wanted to have a quick go at doing something that would save…

The reason parts of clothing have wrinkles is because the underlying structure (leg in this case) is not pressed against the material. This is very rare in the case of the front of the pants. Your character is wearing some pretty tight pants so he…
I'm no expert, but the shirt is better right now then the pants. It would seem that your shadow levels don't seem to match. on the shirt, it dissapears into blackness in the shadows, whereas on the pants, it's much lighter in the shadows. the highlights on the pants look a bit flat as well, especially on the very bottom.…
Hey guys, I've been lurking the polycount boards since 2001, trying to gather more information than make myself look stupid. I'm finally out of High School and am really looking for advice on the next step in being a successful CG artist. I'm currently self taught, and have been doing 3D for a couple years on and off. I…
That's really cool, as being able to edit things non-linearly that way is a real superpower. This reminds me a bit of how FAOGen is still useful after all these years. As far as I am concerned I am satisfied with doing UV rearrangement/combining using the default Blender baking tool since it does UV channel transfer very…
