Is there anyone who knows whats going on with the faces on my model, please? Each part of the building is a separate asset and all faces that need to be are on relevant smoothing groups, but for some reason, the faces at a distance show this weird Z fighting effect and I can't figure it out. If anyone is able to assist I…
A plane has a positive face and a negative face, I think, where the latter has no normal just a black face. How can I get normals on both sides of a flat plane? For example, a hair plane. Ive thought about making an uber thin box method and I couldent find the option anywhere else, there must be a better way. Thanks!
I'm really struggling on getting the likeness on her face. I'd love some critique and have some fresh eyes on the face to point out what is wrong... face ref: I'm primarily going for the 4th picture, she seems a little bit older in the others. Or it may be lens differences?
The faces looked kinda stiff to me so I drew the cat again as a warming up pratice. Should all the characters have the same super expressive faces tho? Is less expressive sometimes the better expressive? It feels like everybody enjoys hyper-expressive faces way more...
The body itself looks good, but I think the legs are a little short right now. For the face I would say work more on the planes of the face and on the mouth area. I think the way the mouth sits on the face looks weong, and the corners are not rolled in correctly. Take a look at this reference here:
Hi everyone, I've been working in the game industry for one year and a half. Now the game has shipped, I'd like to share some of the work I did with you. :-) This is a light human female light armor called Profane. Our character lead Aaron Cober created the face and body. Hair is created by Youngji Lee. I modeled and…
So at the moment I'm trying to learn about UV maps and texturing in 3ds max 2009. I made a simple crate/box model to texture. I made the texture and then aligned all the faces of the model to the texture use the UVW Unwrap edit. But the problem was that I was basically guessing and checking the dimensions of the faces to…

Here the link to the original concept: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0OQoe Software used: Modeling: Blender and Zbrush Texturing: (still thinking if using Substance Painter or 3D-Coat). I'm planning to re work the feets so I can add proper…
Unwrapping a complex model in 3ds Max. I use the term "complex" lightly. What is the best way to unwrap a model that has stacked polygons as shown in my pics? I want to keep all the faces in one UV space for export and texturing. I also want to be able to have a lot of the identical faces share UV space. Must I flatten…
The only two things I believe its happening (which people already mentioned) is that or you lost your material or you made these faces hidden. Display -> Polygons -> Invisible faces. To unassign, go to the options of Edit Mesh -> assign invisible faces and then check on unassign.
