Hi ! I'm trying to create a sci-fi guy, i'm using this concept I'd really recommend that you take a look at his artstation's page, awesome stuff ! For this one I've started from a Basemesh, i'm trying to give me some deadline, like in a production or something, Even if we don't see his body I try to improve my anatomy's…
in almost all sci-fi space ships or station they use random paneling on the hull to create a sense of scale and add detail to what would be a very plain and simple object. they do this in many game and films, take a look at the below for examples my question is how people go about getting this effect, it looks random and…
Hey guys, still working on improving my modeling, but also improving working off concepts. I saw a neat sci-fi bike concept that had interesting forms I wanted to tackle. Overall I think I'm making decent headway, doing more proportion tweaks and fixing some details, but almost ready to make the high poly. There are…
Howdy, This is my latest project, a sci-fi battle droid. It took a while to make, especially the texturing. I still need to make a spec map, and maybe a bump map too. I'm not sure how much I'd change at this point, but I'd really like to hear your critiques and criticisms. Here it is: It has only 506 polys; I was trying to…
So I thought I'd try out designing my own sci fi door for a personal project and potentially for my portfolio if it turns out good. Would appreciate it if I can get any early crit & comment in both the design itself and the model. Haven't done anything like this before, so any pointers would be great ! edit: using a…
Been working on a Sci-Fi corridor in UDK during the last 1-2 weeks. Perhaps not the most original piece ever, but what the heck, I wanted to try it for myself! I know my textures are kind of weak and that's something I need to work much more on. Any critique is welcome! Thanks!
It's been amazing watching Snefer's Sci-Fi slum unfold, now you can see a fly through of the very polished yet still WIP environment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcqDsfLJBak Check out the progress and stay current with updates here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84867
This is a sort of retro sci-fi scene I've been working on for a while. It's not done, but it's had a decent amount of work put into it so far. The building needs to be finished and textured, and textures and lighting will probably be worked on more throughout the scene. The building (some sort of observation post?) is…
Hello everyone. Lately i've been working on this small industrial/sci-fi scene put together in UDK. I think most of it is done, but I might add some subtle smoke particles and lens flares. Anyway what do you guys think of this? Harsh critique appreciated :) More of this on my cghub page: http://lech-kopec.cghub.com/
I think it looks pretty cool. That said, I'm not seeing the "sci-fi" aspect of it. This could pass as a coffee machine you buy in a store, today. Like, one of those coffee puck ones (Kurrig?). When I think of sci-fi I think of lots more glowing lights and tubes and things of that nature.
