I found a cool little tutorial the other day and can't for the life of me find it now.. :D It was something to make your textures pop, by making copies of your layer, and moving them 1 pixel, up down left and right, and etc.. can't remember what else (possibly inverting image)... Any ideas?

Seems that there are only UV mapping tutorials, but what about creating textures in photoshop? I haven't found any that just start out from scratch and I'd be very appreciative of a few since my characters are lacking in nice texturing!
