Pixel Boogie Tutorial?

I found a cool little tutorial the other day and can't for the life of me find it now..

It was something to make your textures pop, by making copies of your layer, and moving them 1 pixel, up down left and right, and etc.. can't remember what else (possibly inverting image)...

Any ideas?
