As practice, I did this sketch of my current D&D character a few days ago: Last night, I got to work on a digital painting, and had this much done before I quit for the night: After working on it more tonight, I've reached a point at which I'm ready to post and get feedback:
SideFX is pleased to announce that Houdini Engine Indie is now available for free (previously $99). Independent game devs and CG artists can now freely load Houdini Digital Assets built using Houdini’s procedural node-based workflow into apps such as Unity, UE4, Maya and Cinema4D. http://sidefx.co/1P98w5q
Haven't created a bones rig in awhile. What's the best way of duplicating the finger bones? I created the index finger, but shift-copying for the other three causes all sorts of wonkiness. Mirroring works fine to get the opposite limb, but to create the first hand, I guess I need to create each of the five digits manually?
seems like western digital and i cant get along, ive lost up to 4 of there drives in 2 yrs time, ive had my maxtor for years and no issues as a main drive, i just had my 500gig ata start not showing up, but its still spinning and no clicking at all,
I'm excited! I have confidence that the movie will at least look gorgeous. If 2049 is any indication of the type of cinematography we'll get, then I cant wait What medium is this piece? Looks like a digital painting Also, great Hitchiker's name
If you're interested in potentially earning a passive income online, then there's a ton of relevant info to be had. Also I've freelanced (product-vis) in the past but for now at least, digital art in general is just a hobby I like doing when time allows.
awesome! gonna look through them, i just stumbled upon some videos from Digital Tutors that a friend of mine had, so i'm gonna go over those aswell :D - thanks for the replies and help folks :D
Thanks for taking the time to post. Right now I'm reading Scott Spencer's 'Digital Sculpting Human Anatomy' and Stephen Peck's 'Atlas of the Human Anatomy for the Artist'. And I use those as reference. There is so much information in there and so much to learn.

reminds me of Digital-Tutors Jet Bike, one of the earlier tutorials i remember seeing when i first got into 3D (didn't follow it but definitely inspired me to want to become a modeller) in other words, good job ! :P
