anyone have a good script for copying skin weights based on the vertex world space position? One that is UVW independent. I need one for maya 4.5 to save me from weeks of weighting very similar meshes with different UV's
What's a recommended workflow for exporting a dynamesh that has polypaint on it, over to maya. How do you drop it down to a lower resolution or are you supposed to re topologize it first? Also how do you export the poly paint into a texture? Thanks
Hi. If I export my texture as mipmapped DDS from Photoshop, do I still need to set the filter type in Maya's file node? Should I set the filter to mipmap, leave it as quadratic or set to None?
Creature made in Maya, Detailed in zbrush. Original concept from an amalgam of animals including Hyena, Duck, Deer, Jerboa, and Dr. Seuss. Next step: learning hair/fur. Thoughts on placement/style of fur and sculpt? Thanks!
