Do you know if console Devs need to provide their own servers or if they are provided? I think Steam provides servers? But no idea about Xbox One/PS4. Probably the same deal as their past practices with servers for xbox 360 aracade games, and PS3 games. But I have no idea of those either. -

That's not actually true. There are later PS3 units that emulated the PS2 using software, and no additional hardware. My own PS3 is one of those. It plays the majority of PS2 games just fine. It would be entirely possible for Sony to begin distributing PS2 games through PSN. I'm not sure why they haven't already.…
