would it really be neccessary to do a high res version of this, maybe just a bevel modifier? I mean the the big curve shapes have already been modelled and small bevels could be done with the modifier
Since we're talking about the bevel tool, is there a a script/tool to create square bevels like max where you want to make edges loops for a smooth model. Maya always curves their bevel, I believe in max you can bevel a corner of a cube and keep it square.
I'm working on a Blender model using Bevel+Subdiv pipeline and I stuck on a problematic element. I want to make a "ridge" that smoothly flows into basic shape but has sharp edges along. However I can't find a topologic solution to perform that without artifacts (which is critical on Bevel+Subdiv pipeline). I really need…
Hey there! I'm new to maya, i have been trying to bevel edges but it always makes the bevel uniform inside out on a strip, is there a setting to help me getting a better flow like i showed in the photo attached, i have used max a little and it does that. thank you! (1) is what maya gives me with bevel. (2) is what i want…
The bevel tool isnt available in 2.5 yet, though they are working on fixing it. I think the plan is to implement a bevel in the short term and then rewrite it for BMesh when that eventually gets released. There is a bevel in the modifiers though, but its based upon things like edge weight and global angles of the object…
Thanks to your reply; it was the bevel modifier. After removing and adding some bevels, nasty lines disappeared. Guess I have to be more carefull with them. Thanks to your suggestions, it helped!
