See those horizontal and vertical gridline you have in the face? Those are bad. Why? When you try to animate that, it'll be a mess. Laying out the edges to correspond with the flow of bone and muslce makes it easier to deform, and also much easier to model.
turning off vertical sync helped my performance in 2d images. Painting on a 3d model is OK if the texture doesn't have layers, but i tried painting on a model that had a psd w/ like 20 or so layers and it wasnt very fun.
Hi everyone, I don't know if i will have the time to finish the contest but the idea is great and i really want to participate ! So why not ;) For the moment, it's very blurry for me. All i know is that i want a vertical compo . Something like Metropolis ( the movie, the old one). For the rest, everything is open. Good…
Hello guys, I'm trying to import a Katana for Ember spirit into the workshop. But I seem to be having some problem with the particle FX thing.I've followed Vlad's tutorial about placing the vertices for the effect but it seems to be of no use.The flame floats off of my blade :| Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
Hi guys i made this model some months ago. It's around 1000 vertices and it is in low poly style. Comments and critics are welcome! :) I made a speed modelling video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blfE0nVVcuM If you want to download this model go here:…
as by request in a recent thread here it is. The macroscript allows a biped to be linked to another object. The Biped's horizontal/vertical/turning keys will be modified to match the objects'. Optionally additive or original key useage is allowed. Ideally to use "motionmixed" gameanims to follow a path. be careful with the…
When i link a psd to a material, sometimes it'won't load entirely each layer. for some of them, only half of it is loaded and offsetted vertically (And if I reload, nothing changes, full frame is checked). the thumbnail itself isn't working when showing the different layers. Have anyone noticed this? Saw it on 2012 and…
Does anyone know if theres a way, in Photoshop, to paint different colors depending on the direction in which the brush is moved? Specifically, Id like: -to paint red when painting a horizontal line -blue when painting a vertical line and some interpolated color for the in-between directions. Thanks very much if anyone…
Hello, I am having trouble solving this issue. I need the handle of the pot to be thinner... if I select the polys, vertices or edges and scale them down, it scales also the dimensions of the handle. Is there a way to make just the handle thinner without having to scale the selected polys? here's an image: Thx for help!
Some insightful (and sometimes amusing) stuff in here: "As for the hair, I think you can actually see the streaming hairs in the demo, They are reproduced by 60,000 vertices primitives actually driven by physics simulation" "The polygon amount for Snake's mustache is the same as one enemy soldier in MGS3...only in the…
