Ember Spirit Particle FX Help

Hello guys,
I'm trying to import a Katana for Ember spirit into the workshop.But I seem to be having some problem with the particle FX thing.I've followed Vlad's tutorial about placing the vertices for the effect but it seems to be of no use.The flame floats off of my blade
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
