yo, I've made some chainmail in zbrush thats obv in the multimillions with multimesh. how the hell do i use this in maya without it crashing my system. BTW it hasn't crashed it yet but I can tell it's a lot of strain on it. Anything you guys can tell me about how to manage large meshes like this i would appreciate. R-
I need help creating a couple smoke animations in Maya. I would like the smoke animations to look like the smoke in this video 24 seconds in. https://youtu.be/Ui4EoEhNXr4?t=24 I just need each smoke animation to be roughly 1 second long and the smoke would start from the ground and animate upwards and disappear.

Ok this is bugging me now because it takes up way to much time, in maya when you select an edge or edge ring and delete it the verts are still there. Is this some kind of option or something because it really slows things down and its annoying me to death.

Trying to get some normal baking done but im getting nothing captured. I have checked the uv so it have space to bake on. It should get some info at least. Have no idea why, im on maya 2011 64 bit.
Just been on Autodesk site and there is a trail download for Maya 2014 but it only lists 64bit. Is there to be a 32 bit version? I cannot see any further spec info on their site
