Just as a note when I click 'Chapel Ruins' it shows 'Sci-Fi Sewer' on the firefox tab it opens. Small detail but looks like my QA observation skills have not deserted me :P
I started working on a sci-fi lab scene. Here are some floor panel wips: I'm not sure why Photobucket resized these. You can see them full size here: http://8ftspider.deviantart.com/
The lighting is feeling really flat and a little boring. Try and figure out a mood for scene and light to that. A good idea would be to check out some sci fi movies and look at how their cinematographers compose their lighting.
hhmm some of these are a long way off, some of the indents and details just seem to be there by proxy and have no purpose other than to look Sci-fi. Keep going though, I'm sre you will nail it eventually!
i think rorschach wrote a sortof little tute on this in the highpoly sci fi beam thingie thread about how mirroring works best in UE3, the 3/4ths mirroring and what not, or however he called it.
Yeah I actually like the really wide font. It makes it look different than what you usually see, and like it demands to be noticed. Though the font looks kinda like generic sci-fi
Reminds me of these old Sci Fi movies, I like the design a lot For my taste the contrasts are a bit strong and I would not paint any highlights at parts that face to the ground (mainly on his shoes)
Hi everyone, this is my first post here.I've been looking at the cool art on this forum for awhile now,so I decided to register and post something myself. This is a sci-fi scene I worked on as my personal project. Cheers. :)
Hello guys, this is the thread for my Desert Eagle | Extinction, a skin in the 70-80 sci-fi contest. My idea is a neon-polygrid-dinosaur (a t-rex) shooting laser beams out of its eyes. Enjoy!
