Hey, I'm making a string vest (pic 1) and was wondering if anyone could give some advice on the best way to unwrap it to get a decent amount of texture info on it when it comes to painting as it'll be seen sort of mid close up. I've added panel loops to give it thickness so its split into 3 polygroups - front/back/middle…
Unfortunately there is no way to uv a spherical object without seam or stretching. Consider hiding the seams or stretches in a place where the viewer will not see them.. like under the rock. If you have a 3d paint program you can attempt to go back and fix these problem areas in 3d.
Hey, everyone! I started to model this car, just because I love this car so much. I wanted to share my whole progress this time. I know in prodction there are alot of factors that go into what works best, but I'm just a character artist trying to present my work. There seems to be some sort of default rig in ue4. I got my credits in a Star Wars game for a character that I can't even manage to unlock. >_< At least I got my name in there, and since the credits were set up like the ending for a Star Wars film I was doubly satisfied.

Hello! I don't have harsh words but hopefully I have useful a critique. You're showing an ortho view of the sculpt. Did you also sculpt in ortho? This can be very challenging and look wrong once you switch to the target focal length in perspective. When working from references look up "focal length portrait" to get a sense…
