Hey all, I crated this door in Photoshop using nDo2 to brush up my texturing skills and test new workflows etc. The bricks were made in Zbrush. Here's how it's looking so far. Having trouble getting the right glossiness on the windows in Marmoset for some reason, I prefer the glossy darker look I got with Cryengine. Pretty…
Hi great artists, i made my first paint texture ever. It should be resturant door for my modular set of old brick city (for inst. New York). Inspiration MAfia 2. Only Diffuse map, normal map just for wing door. I would like to kindly ask for feedbacks, because i would liek to be better and better. This is not possible…
Due to NDA's we're not able to show much of what we've worked on during the last year or so so I decided to use our excellent location to create some new pieces. We recently moving into a new office space in downtown Seattle. All the reference for this was shot in the alley of our building. The fence kinda sucks I still…
Thought I would post this here, since I was unsuccessful in my application. Congrats to whomever landed the job :) Mine wasn't passed due to how I put far more attention in the shape of the building and the brick building, as opposed to the ground level. That said, I don't think I did a bad job, as I had other constraints…
Hi all, I am trying to project a brick wall onto a lower poly mesh. When I go to project the detail though I am getting some odd artifacting. I've had this issue before but never really fixed it. This is after the first projection Attachment not found. Second project seems to make things worse Attachment not found. This is…
Hey everyone, i am trying to create some modular pieces for myself and i am kinda stuck because the textures doesn't tile seamlessly when i connect the pieces, and i am not sure how to make the textures to tile well since its not a bricks texture. Also, this is my first time trying to create modular assets with realistic…
Your model is more detailed. I can see some smoothing errors on the edge faces of the shingles and possibly the top of the brick as well. If this is meant to be a current-gen portfolio asset it should have a high poly sculpt with baked normals or at least sculpted tiling textures and some vertex painting, the…
I saw a section in Photoshop for 3d artist magazine quite a while back where the guy was doing a tutorial on making a dumpster and bits of wood and tiling brick and cobble - stone textures for a back alley looking scene and I slowly began to have this vision of my own back alley scene, The first thing I made was a…
The point here is that less triangles are being used at a distance...and for something like a brick wall..you really only need to see the tessellation up close...from a distance you won't be able to tell. So your suggesting having missing faces and letting the tessellation fill those holes in? It doesn't work like that.…
By "lived in" do you mean bladerunner esque dystopia or something more "clean"? It looks a bit odd to be to have windows and such on the ground floor when there are (selfdriving?) cars flying so close to the buildings. The buildings themselves look very misplaced with brick walls considering theres flying cars, I would…
