Hey guys, So I decided to give anatomy sculpting a try this year, so I'm sharing what I got so far for any possible feedback. Doing this alongside drawing to improve myself, so go nuts with feedback! Hands: Skull: I'm keen to improve at this, so any feedback on these would be appreciated! Thanks for looking!
I need to start drawing more....a lot more. I'm pretty much starting from the beginning and I would love critiques. I'm going to start out by studying the head. Drawing skulls, drawing from pictures and occasionally doodle to develop my own style. So to start things off: Edit: Got rid of crappy doodle.
One of my concepts for the Weapon Finish Contest. A space suit with a bullet hole causing cracks across the visor, and either a dark void or a skull within. I'm thinking the m4 would go well, a darkish theme, but the awp could look good. Else I might go outside the competition entirely, and use another weapon.
TL;DR - Latest state: Turret concept. Some very rough ideas: I like this photo of a Marco Polo sheep skull and want to do something with it: So I drew this: But it looks like Brian Blessed doing a cosplay of Marowak. More development needed. Also a sketch of what the den could look like.
I agree with all the thigs said above - I would also consider making the lions a bit bigger. If you look for example at the raven skull decore thingy it almost fills out the entire space, same as with the shark and the dagger. But otherwise good job so far :)
Meep Meep I´m Back ! :) I added a ground texture, but it needs a lot more work on it. At the moment I think , that I will remove the the red cloth stuff on the skull. I really need some tips guys pls help me. Have a nice one ! :)
THat is a good point that Vprime made... you might want to rotate them 90 so they're horizontal... might actually look better if they're coming out of the top of the skull anyway. But seriously this is one amazing looking Barbarian. How long did it take you to make this?
Too many triangles in the candle and the wick, not enough in the skull. Those teeth are way, way blocky. The flame could be optimized more, too, but it's not too bad - then again it can be fixed really quickly because it's such an easy shape and you just need to cut 2 loops or so.
A couple of sketches to get going, wondering if it's ok to not really be a throne room but a throne area since it's in a forest. Also thinking it might be too understated compared to everyone else :) really want to use this Irish Elk skull though, it's a strong focal point. sketches by Flumpinator., on Flickr
Now I think he is pretty ready for mudbox again. This I have done (in red) Rounded up his skull Studied closly anatomy and did all edgeflows according to the muscles (red lines) Tried to get a more even poly flow over the model.
