Baking a bookshelf to a lower resolution
I need to reduce the polycount of some rows of books I've made. It's for a library in a game, so there will be a lot. I don't want the books to be on a flat plane with all the books lined up exactly. So I'm trying to find the best way to do this. I've tried using the transfer maps option in Maya and it partially worked.… -
Textures from SP lose resolution in 3d software
Hi! I'm new in SP and have this problem I can't seem to find solution for.. When I create textures in painter they look nice and sharp, however after exporting them to 3d max, they become very blurry. I tried increasing and decreasing uv scale in SP, but it doesn't help.. Maybe somebody faced the same problem and can share… -

Render small for setup, bigger for final. The new resolution means the lightmap has a thousand times more pixel compared to the old one, so the increase in rendertime doesn't look that bad. -
How to prevent UDK from LOD lightmap resolution in-game?
Hello, I have a problem. This is my scene in viewport: This is my scene in-game: I get horrible seams due to lightmap resing down, how can I remove the LOD, to take a good tiled shot? Also wtf is happening on the right screenspace?! How do I fight it? -

I use 3d studio max and substance painter for the textures. I also use material IDs to separate them in substance painter and not have them all in one place and I have read about using them for resolution but I don´t get it? @toxicsludge77 I have no idea what most of those terms are XD I will study the series you send me… -

megaman would be my gut reaction. but yeah it's been done to death. then Resident Evil 1 but that's been done and quite superbly roadrash would be awesome to see remade loved playing that game. id like to see a REAL mario game on the Revolution, you know, without the duck-esque talks with a speech impediment water spigot… -
