you should read some tutorials on uv mapping. and learn how to do good uv layouts. learn some 2d photoshop painting techniques. learn how to use a 3d paint app like zbrush, mudbox, mari. its really a broad question. -

Also, you shouldn't be learning Unreal. If you're gonna get into film. You should be rendering your work. And one more tip. You might wanna check out Mari for 3d texturing. They are mainly for film. Plus it works well with Modo since it's by the Foundry -

Latest creature work. This piece initially started out as just a quick weekend sculpt, and I liked it so much I decided to turn it into a fully textured low poly model. By the way, this was the first model that I fully textured in Mari. The render was done in Vray. -

Thank you. So if I flip the coordinates in the UV editor and it becomes red that is ok? and that is not going to be a problem with other texture programs like Mari or Substance? Sorry to ask such a basic questions because this is my first time I am doing a serious 3d project. -
