Figuring this out as I go. Using generated maps to create masks for snow and rock. Read up on fresnel in UDK, has a pretty interesting effect in Marmoset. Gonna plug it up in Mari later. Also Knald is the tits. -

An anatomy study that turned into Mari's plugsuit from Evangelion. Had to use pretty high subdivision because this is regular torso topology. It's too detailed for a blockout, but too messy for a proper high poly. Will blockout with DynaMesh next time. -

If you want to texture first, UV later you could use a texturing program that supports Ptex, and bake to UV later. As far as I know Mari is the only texturing software that supports that particular workflow off the shelf. -

UDK scripting trouble
I added my new animetree at my UTfamilyInfo_Mario. But When I start the scripting I have this (also a lot of unresolved error) defaultproperties { FamilyID="Marios" Faction="Mario" CharacterMesh=SkeletalMesh'Character.Mario' //Body and head materials swapped here on purpose until the mesh is redone… -

Imagine if James Cameron would have directed Spiderman . What would it be like? Answer: James Cameron's script for Spiderman. I honestly believe that it would have been better. It's darker , edgier and has electro and sandman as the villains. Spiderman also kills someone and has sex with Mary Jane. -
