Hey there, Mad Great to see you've fired this up! Great idea and lovely video:)I found out that I even still remember some hiragana, though obviously can't understand a thing. If I were to give some advice my main concern right now would be composition. I'd stray from going too square. You can get much more from making it…
Needs more work. The way the site is designed suggests that you have more, or are leaving space for later work, but right now there's way too much empty space and your thumbnails are really difficult to read considering there's only three pieces. I wouldn't worry about the tutorial page at this stage, either. Your work is…
My friend James (Bobo) recommended I drop here. First off - there is soooo much fantastic art here, seriously!!! The talent level is incredible on every front. Super duper inspirational! I've been working on a pixel art game called Boss 101 for a few months now. ***Warning - tons of animated gifs are in this post -…
so it turns out after having my appendix removed over Christmas after it tried to burst on me i can't sit up enough to comfortably use my tablet and sculpt ( have my desk against a wall so normally i have to sit with a half decent posture while i'm working, that and my tablet is plugged into the back of my machine)... so i…
I'm a developer working on a game. I've got a good 3D artist creating an environment for me. He's working on getting the "look" down by just working on the first asset right now. He's pretty close to what I'm asking for but the look still isn't quite there. As I'm a developer by trade I'm having a hard time guiding him in…
Hello again, I'm back to post up my
finished results of this side project. It was a lot of fun and a good
exercise in workflow to complete. An interesting challenge was capturing
all the detail nuances in the presentation shots, as their visibility
seems to depend on the finding just the right angle of light and
camera I…
Hey guys, I'm working on a block-out of a basic environment and am trying to setup some basic lighting, but I'm having an odd issue where my preview/build lighting light is way different from the lighting I get in-game. If I build lighting, I get the normal lighting I want. If I try to go in-game just after doing build…
Problem solved, please delete this thread or whatever is the custom, thank you. The solution? I had messed around with the color map of the diffuse map... disabling it made everything work again. Hello, I made a bright plank material, and put it on the model just to see what the colour would look like and so on. I tried…
I personally prefer a tad more brush. Not much, just a handfull more. Right now I see it as a bit of a boring composition. On the technical side, looks good...did you bake some cavity into your diffuse map? Can't tell. As far as the Roughness and Spec Color go, I think the color is ok. The roughness of the dirt might be…
right now I would say your lighting looks conflicted. Green is that color that is both warm and cool all at the same time. I would suggest moving your pallete warmer during the day (more orange) and cooler during the night (purps and blues) - this will both push your fantasy feel and help you get away from some of those…
