I've always used a mouse left handed. Always. It just made sense when playing games - the arrow keys are lined up perfectly, none of that whack WASD shit. Oh, and I don't have to move the mouse when I watch porn. But seriously, I'm ambidextrous, so using the mouse left handed never bothered me - it always felt natural.

For the texture going only on top side, not top and bottom the fix is - Brush-> Auto Masking -> and then activate Backface Mask.
