Really really cool man, put in my inspiration folder. One little thing that could add just a bit more to the piece (nit picking now) is maybe have some random moths or flies flying around the main light? Looks like a pretty junky place... so why not eh :P Awesome work man!
This movie was nuts. It took me a while to warm up to the singing because there was so much going on while the singing was happening, from environment noise fine tuned to roll with the melodies to the vivid stories that where being told through the music, movements, acting, it was all happening at the same time! Great…
thanks guys! definitely Tekkonkinkreet's influence is there somewhere! 5202 tris atm. still need the net thingy to catch bugs and the bottle-stick thingy too. i was kind of hoping for some ideas of how to make the hair. im starting to try smaller hair pieces in bigger quantities but it just gets to chaotic and doesnt work…
Looks amazing! The vibe of the interior is great. Considering this is for VR, this looks fairly detailed. I know this is a little nit-picky, but I feel like the house doesn't feel connected to the ground. Maybe add some rocks or make the terrain slope up to the building so that it has a nice gradient? Maybe bushes can be…
hey, I think this looks very nice 👍️ Some nit picks: 1st and 2nd floors have unusual construction: support beams run along walls instead of resting on walls (as you did with the ceiling, but used very few)? hue of some pots looks yellow-green - bit unpleasant imo project typography is very dominant
it all depends on how you want to push your self, normally what I do is lay things side to side like the image I posted, and then I also lay them on top of each other in photoshop with some transparency. You def nailed the concept, again just being nit picky
http://blog.wired.com/geekdad/2009/04/rip-dave-arneso.html He was most responsible for the nuts and bolts of D&D. A lot of the behind the scenes rules we use in a lot of our games, where based on his original ideas. It's sad that he grew estranged from D&D but still he had a huge impact, even if he wasn't as well known as…
Hey all, this is my current project. I'm at the stage of going through the mesh and fixing topological problem areas. Once that's done, all flesh and cloth areas will go into Mudbox for detailing and all metal and leather will have high res meshes built for them in 3dsMax. I'm keen to hear any crits you guys may have, so…
Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial I lost?! Basically the dude creates his own "Cube 3d" style node by rendering in to a kind of sprite sheet (I think) He then creates a node with the images and is able to move the screw around in much the same was as you can with the "Cube 3d" node. Then he uses it to make…
Currently working on a flying dirgible. Still working through some things with overall form and design. I'm hoping to add a small cap to the top of the balloon, but I'm not sure how I want to go about it. Trying to break the head on profile silhouette a little more. As such I'm considering adding some nets hanging outward…
