Do you work in layers at all? When I deal with models of this detail level, I l ike to break up the major sections in seperate layers to reduce the lag (hiding layers I'm not working on). Not sure about the color depth, but I think it's reducing the color to help speed up (I've had the same problem, but worked through it).
Agree with Jade. While this is a cool design, it seems a little impractical, depending on the type of tech being used. Is it a laser gun or something? Does it rotate vertically as well as horizontally? It would be nice to see more renders.
haha yea i love mechanics alot, and im doing alot of or on other personal thing ;) heres the covers on hmm now.. should i add aimpont and laser marker or mount a grenade launcher on it? o.O
better representative footage illustrating the laser blast effect captured from the metallic strike resonating up the length of the metal fiber support cable! starting at 10:17... https://youtu.be/jl1MpthromI?t=10m17s
Nice. Looking forward to seeing it come along. Really funny you mention the laser beam eyes. That's what I'm doing http://polycount.com/discussion/169758/pc-csgo-desert-eagle-no2#latest
I have to admit that on first sight I actually thought it is a "plasmagun, laser pewpew", but anyway, it's awesome. Incredible details and presentation. Feels like this rifle would be actually build. The ammunition is a bit boring, but that is nitpicking.
My friends and I actually got into a small fight with some other moviegoers who brought along laser pointers and threw popcorn at the rest of the audience a few years ago. The rest of the movie was quiet though
there's a little electric bar thingy in your scope.. the longer you are scoped, the more it charges, the more powerful the shot will be. Also, the laser sight will grow while this happens. Takes maybe 8 seconds to fully charge it?
Looks very cool overall :+1: Looking closer, I think there are a few points that could be improved on: Skull - Got to agree this is the most glaring weakness, looking caught in-between different ideas. Given the overall amount of work put in, wouldn't skimp on such a central element. Perhaps do some paint-overs to explore…
How do i tile textures in ZBrush? I followed a tutorial and found that by using the layers palette (different from the "layer" sub-palette of the tools palette) I could offset my meshes and have them wrap around the document. The downside is that I can't seem to use MRGBZ Grabber because MRGBZ Grabber seems to only read…
