Every contest spawns a lot of questions. We try to cover as many as we can upfront on the contest rules page, but invariably the community thinks up new ones we hadn't seen before. Please post your questions and contest staff will do their best to get them resolved properly. Good luck to you all. We look forward to some…
Just a Vase i've done for the monthly challenge but it took me some time to finish it (kinda). I would like to ask for some help regarding the questions i got still not resolved...May be it's just my eyes got foggy because i had to look at that vase for too many times and can't already judge how it turned out or may be i…
Looks amazing already. The materials read really well, top notch! I was about to say that i'd expect to see a little more general wear and tear on the clothes but it's already there at like that perfect level where it isn't overdone. You could perhaps add some dried blood stains, though that's more of the cliché look for a…
well tyler maybe you guys could do a tut on material effects sometime, iv been trying to make a spawn effect using a opacity mask with a hot edge using the emissive channel with the mask being compared to a parameter controlled by matinee but i cant find a way to make the effect move over the model in the direction i want…
Is it both that are that way or the blue one? I can see how it can appear to be concrete, I felt the rust stains would offset a bit of that. Might be my lighting partially as well as material definition. I can give it a second pass and push the metalness values and roughness values, I definitely lowered them so I can see…
So you want the platforms to spawn in during the rise? I think this has simmilar issue to making a train level in UDK where you would ride the train around a track....not sure what it was called though. Here is a video that might help....not sure [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROkHmMEWHU8"]Streaming Levels in the…
Yeah concrete is mostly flat but rough, then with larger pits and cracks. Most damages are stains or marks from stuff rubbing against it. It doesn't really scratch at all. Right now it looks more like an old leather book. I always think of concrete looking very cold. The Normal strength on the plywood looks a bit too…
Awesome work! I like the texture work. It has a real aged feel. It would be great to see some wear on the bottom edges, in which it was put down on rough surfaces traveling. Also maybe a drink staining the outside by coffee or wine. Maybe also break up the painted parts with the paint wearing away or slight cracking. Just…
Wow, that is pretty cool. I t does get a bit hectic once you spawn a lot of the little camera things. It would probably help if the line of sight edges weren't completly hard edged. Also, with the blur going on its a bit hard to separate the foreground and background which is a bit disorienting. Perhaps the blur should be…
